We will be holding our 3rd Annual Crazy Soles Nipika Trail Run on Saturday May 29th 2010. This year we are working on making some big changes to our post race entertainment, prizes and making the event a weekend destination. Camping and lodge accomodation is available...why not turn this into a weekend getaway???  Lyle Wilson from Nipika (www.nipika.com) as always, has done a fantastic job selecting an incredible course both scenic and challenging.  You can expect all courses (3, 10 and 25km) to remain similar to 2009.  Last year we had 158 racers from B.C. and Alberta, we expect many more this year.  This is an incredible race, but don’t just take our word for it!  Here are some pictures and reviews from a few racers:

Saturday Trail Run

Every Saturday ALL YEAR ROUND at 8:00am we meet at the store and head out on an adventure to one of our local trails.  The run is a free drop in to promote the sport of trail running in our valley.  So far everyone has been impressed, we have even shown the “locals” new trails they didn’t even know existed.

Jordan Kirk (Staff)

After last years successful season racing in the 3rd Annual Gore-Tex Transrockies Run with teammate Kevin Astridge, Jordie will be enjoying this year doing mostly recreational running and the odd mountain bike race or trail run event. Jordie and Kevin are still talking about how much fun TRR was last August and it's March!!! This summer Jordie is planning to run (for fun) the Rock Wall again in Kootenay National Park as he tries to convince his wifey how much fun it would be to be his next partner in the 2011 Gore-Tex Transrockies Run!!!

  Beva Kirk (Staff)

Beva’s focus is cross country skiing, her goal is to compete at the 2011 World Masters Cup being held at Silver Star. This 2010 season started off wonderfully with a great race (despite the nightmare waxing conditions) in Salmon Arm with a 2nd place finish (4th overall) in the 18km, The Nipika 30km Loppet with a 3rd place finish and an awesome experience, and lastly a great race in Golden with a 3rd place finish in the 22km event.
Beva plans to run for fun on the beautiful and inspiring trails around Invermere and has made it a goal to run the Rock Wall (55km) in Kooteney National Park with her crazylegged husband in August 2010!
